Nottinghamshire, like most Provinces, contributes to the Masonic Charity Festival System – which sees each of the four main Masonic charities continually supported on a revolving cycle. Our Province has the privilege of supporting the Royal Masonic Trust for Girls and Boys until the autumn of 2018.
The Festival System involves a determined effort, over six or seven years, to raise a large sum of money for our designated charity, in order for that charity to continue to support good causes and people in need.
The 2018 Festival, in aid of the Royal Masonic Trust for Girls & Boys, aims to raise three million pounds (£3,000,000), mainly through contributions from our members. This we hope will be achieved by means of direct giving (which attracts gift aid) and by holding fund raising events.
The Provincial Grand Master has appointed an Executive Committee, headed by Peter Gregory, to manage the Festival for Nottinghamshire. Peter and his team look forward to receiving any help you can provide to ensure the 2018 Festival is a success.
The Royal Masonic Trust for Girls & Boys has a long and proud history dating back over 200 years, and is currently supporting over 1,800 children and young people – with and without Masonic connections across the UK. The Trust is extremely proud of the fact that an eligible child or young person has never been refused assistance.
